Breaking the Spine has created a wonderful nexus for people to talk about forthcoming titles that they’re excited about. We thought we’d put in our two cents worth (five cents, now that we’ve done away with the penny (0.0447909 cents US)) and contribute some Canadian content.
The book that we’re both anxious to get our hands on is Miriam Toews’ All My Puny Sorrows. It’s being released on April 14th here in Canada (coincidentally, the same day that we are releasing our podcast on Lawrence Hill’s Blood: The Stuff of Life).
We were both fans of A Complicated Kindness, and Kirt really, really enjoyed A Boy of Good Breeding (this is a sentence that really depends on context and italics). It’s quite likely that, when it’s available in paperback, this new book will find its way onto the next rotation of our reading schedule. All of Toews’ books have received glowing reviews and accolades. All My Puny Sorrows doesn’t look like it will be an exception to this trend.
You’re going to LOVE this book!!!
